Access To Recovery believes that the opposite of addiction is not sobriety, it's connectedness. In an effort to help individuals experiencing hardships to stay connected, we offer limited assistance to pay for cell phone and internet costs. This ensures individuals the opportunity to stay connected with their treatment providers, recovery networks and digital support groups.

Qualifying candidates must:

  • Be a Rhode Island resident

  • Have little or no income

  • Be in recovery from alcohol and/or substance misuse

  • Be willing to complete a request form

  • Funds awarded will be paid directly to service provider, not individuals

  • Requests may not exceed $300 total

  • Funds can be used for cell phone costs, cell phone monthly bills and/or internet monthly bills.

This offering has been made possible by the Rhode Island Foundation's COVID-19 Behavioral Health Fund
